The Bay Area Engine Modelers club, BAEM, is hosting the fifth Western Engine and Model Exhibition (WEME). This exhibition will take place in the Agricultural Building during the GoodGuy’s 25th West Coast Nationals, August 24 - August 26, 2012 at the Alameda County Fairgrounds, Pleasanton, CA. http://www.good-guys.com/events/2012-events/item/west-coast-nationals-2?category_id=2 for more information on the location and sponsor.

The Bay Area Engine Modelers (BAEM) club and other Model Engineers will exhibit all types of Model Engineering, including model steam engines, locomotives, internal combustion engines, Stirling engines, tanks, tether cars and aircraft engines.

The featured model last year was Lou Chenot’s fantastic Duesenberg automobile model with full bodywork and an operating engine. This will be the last public appearance of the engine before he installs it permanently in the car to never be run again. Do not miss one of the most perfect models ever made.
Modeled after a 1932 Duesenberg SJ Walker–La Grande Dual Cowl Phaeton supercharged with suicide front doors and a “V” windshield, J–588 was the last chassis produced, and Lou’s model is stamped J–589 as it became the last Duesenberg ever built.
